Waite Christmas 09

Chris and I had a special and very quiet Christmas this year. We were really reminded of the reason for the season. We had a very difficult time though not seeing all our family and friends. We had to turn many visitors down whom we love dearly. Tears filled my eyes Christmas evening as my Mom left with the rest of my family to go spend the evening with my Nephew Ryder... I miss him terribly! We're having to make some difficult decisions to keep our preemie babies safe and healthy through RSV season. We decided on keeping the visitors to just Grandparents and Great Grandparents through the Holidays. Otherwise it would be a revolving door over here. We wanted to let you all know that you were missed and that we cannot wait to get through the next few months so that we can start getting everyone together again.

Brayden's Homecoming

We're finally together as a family again... a happy family of five! We are so excited to have our little Brayden home and thriving with his brother and sister. Thank you so much for all of your prayers. God is so good... we couldn't ask for anything more this Christmas.

Brayden made the decision that he had had enough of that rotten NICU! Mommy is never going to let you go now.

Shane : Shane is the lover of the bunch... he is my sweet natured boy. He definitely is my most quiet and well behaved. He is the biggest fan of the Co-bedding. He loves to snuggle with his brother and sister and will scoot across the crib to get closer to them... he loves his skin to skin and cheek to cheek time.
Brayden : Brayden is my strong little man... for sure my most vocal. He'll let you know what he wants. He keeps us very entertained with the greatest noises and adorable and funny faces. He finally broke out of the NICU by refusing his last tube feeding until the nurse was forced to put him on his bottle. Lets just say Mom and Dad were proud of their little fighter.

Ireland: Ireland is our little princess. Everything about her is feminine and different from her brothers. She even burps like a little lady. She is really cute with her little hands and is working on perfecting her beauty wave. It won't be long until she's digging through Mommy's purse for her mascara.

Shane's homecoming

Little Shane came home yesterday and he is enjoying his sisters company
Lindsay and Chris are overjoyed to have two babies home and one to go! So far they are doing great
Brayden is still in the NICU learning how to feed. The nurses think he is doing very well, but he just may need a little bit more time. It was very hard for Lindsay and Chris to leave him there as they took Shane home. He is still getting a visit from mom or dad everyday, but they just want him home with his family. Please pray that he can grow stronger and come home soon.

Lindsay and Chris brought baby Ireland home today :)

Ireland is doing great and getting very accustomed to a lot of snuggle time and undivided attention from mom and dad. The boys are still doing well and expected to come home as soon as they learn to get a little bit more food down. Lindsay and Chris have overflowing hearts and cannot wait to really begin their life together as the new team Waite. The love they have experienced in recent days cannot even be expressed in words. They truly cherish their babies and this miraculous time together.

They know you are all so eager to meet the new little miracles but their safety is most important at this time. Being premature babies they are very susceptible to infection and a trip back to the hospital is the last thing anyone wants. So they wont be accepting visitors at this time; their doctor does not want them handled by many people and possibly exposed to infection. Please know that they are very grateful to have all of the love and support everyone has given in recent months and everyone will be able to meet the sweet peas when they are strong and healthy peas. Thanks again for all the PRAYERS!!!

The babies are still doing remarkably well for being 5 weeks premature, but they have recently been moved to the NICU. This is just to allow them some extra time to grow and learn how to regulate their body temperatures. They are dealing with mild jaundice and learning how to feed, so they can grow into athletic specimens. Ireland, the biggest of the pack is doing very well and will most likely come home with mom and dad. The boys are really going to have to go the distance to catch up to her.
Daddy's perfect princess

Lindsay and Chris are spending most of their time in the NICU giving as much love to each baby as possible. The NICU nurses have been amazing and can't say enough about these wonderful babies. They've expressed the fact that they are remarkably healthy and expect them to be home with mom and dad in no time.

Lindsay is doing well but still struggling with some of the effects of the preeclampsia; swelling and high blood pressure. She's feeling a little more discomfort today, but is still more concerned with being with her babies than resting. It's been difficult with everything going on to have as many visitors as they would like. They truly appreciate all of your support and prayers and cant wait for you to meet the babies in the future.

Ireland...Shane...Brayden

Thanksgiving Blessings

Last night at 6:30 Pm Lindsay was getting prepped to deliver the miracles she had been nourishing for 35.1 weeks. We said our goodbyes and put our trust in the team of doctors and our amazing GOD. It was the hardest two hours of my life as I waited for the most important person in the world to me to come out like a champion! In that time she was given a spinal and her and daddy got to see their perfect babies being born. Ireland Faith weighed in first at 4lbs. 11oz. Shane Christian came second weighing 4lbs. and last but not least was my Brayden Ray weighing 4lbs. 5oz. They all came out like champions; breathing fresh air and breast feeding with mama. No NICU time for Team Waite! Lindsay expressed to the doctors that she was "the rockstar of triplet pregnancies", I would have to agree! The babies were able to spend the night in the room with mommy and daddy. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers! God bless and Happy Thanksgiving...Pics to come :)

Going The Distance!

Here we are... 331/2 weeks!!!! I'm just a few days away from my goal. Each day gets more challenging than the last. I'm sure I'm growing daily. In fact, I'm growing this very second!! I'm praying to God that my next post will include pictures of our beautiful babies and not any more of my freakish belly.

331/2 weeks with the Triplets... Just Joyful.

Strong Pea

We are 32 weeks now... I'm feeling very accomplished. :-) We just had an ultra sound (could be our last) and all the babies were 4 pounds! Our doctor was very pleased and impressed with their size. Ireland was actually the biggest... she was estimated at 4 pounds and 3 ounces. Shane, who's been on the bottom the entire time, has now completely flipped and is breech. Just 2 weeks ago he was head down and ready to swim out. Ireland is head down and may be the first to come out now. At the last minute She's decided that she wants to be the oldest. Poor Brayden is in a horizontal position and is shoved up in the smallest part of my Uterus. He's closest to my heart though.
Chris and I are getting very excited and scared out of our minds. 32 weeks is the National average Triplets are born... could be any day now. I would love to make it to 34 weeks. As miserable as I am, I think I have two more weeks in me. My Doctor will not take them past 36 weeks but I can't even fathom going that far... that just doesn't seem good for any of us. Say a prayer for an easy delivery. I can't believe I have 12 pounds of baby in me right now... not including all the placentas and other stuff in there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chris is no longer calling me Sweet Pea. I am now Strong Pea. :-)
