Baby steps to a normal life

I can not believe my little sweet peas are almost 6 months old!!!! I'm loving them right now and want them to stop growing so fast. Chris would argue that he'd like them to be old enough to do house work. We're starting to get the babies out more and it's been quite an adjustment. I feel so accomplished when I can just get them to the doctor's and back. Just a brisk family walk is a huge ordeal. I usually have a small layer of sweat on my face by the time they are all lathered with sunscreen and buckled in... before we even make it outside. But honestly, an evening that would be absolutely insane for most human beings is becoming totally normal for us. We've never known any different and we LOVE our children and wouldn't change a thing. Each child has brought so much Joy to our lives and they're all so different and special to us. 6 months ago I had never been so frightened in my entire life. People were so gloom and doom about our news of becoming parents to triplets. Regular comments we got... "You guys are screwed!" and "Better you than me!" and "Oh you should talk to the OctoMom!" Our all time favorite was... " Do triplets run in your family?" Chris and I just started answering "YES... triplets run ramped in our family on both sides."
Well... apparently God knows me much better than I know myself because I have never been so happy. I'd be a liar if I said it wasn't the hardest thing I've ever done... but I can say, it's the BEST thing I've ever done.

We go to Costco... It's possible to go grocery shopping with Triplets!

Brayds riding shot gun.

WE go to Starbucks...
WE sun bath... Ireland is working on a darker shade of white.
We Walk... going for a stroll with our cousin Nate.
We move around... My little roley poleys. The triplets are all over the place now and they love each other so much. They're very aware of their brothers and sister now. They talk back and forth and laugh at each others jokes... it melts my heart.

We hold our own baba... Ireland totally in control.
We Jumperoo... Brayden getting his daily exercise.
We play and splash in the bath... Shane after a nice bath.
We have story time... the triplets with their cousin Ryder.
We eat dinner...

Brayden requires this special bib when he eats.

And, One more very important thing........ We have Adult time.
Chris and I recently had our very first 24 hours away from the babies. Well, Moms very first night away. It was so strange to sleep through the night without the buzz of the baby monitor. We woke up in the morning to the sound of the ocean and room service. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. ;-) Happy Anniversary to us! I love you babe.
Free!!!!!!!

I love you more today than I did yesterday and more yesterday than the day we got married.
Thank you to my team of babysitters for making this mini vaca possible... Mom, Dad, and Auntie Leah. We love you guys so much and couldn't survive without you.

Great Grandparents rule!!!!!

We took the triplets up to Garden Grove to see their Great Grandma and Grandpa Waite. We had a great visit and were so happy to get out of our RSM bubble. The babies were so happy to play with their Great Grandparents. Grandpa had a cool raspy voice that the babies were interested in and Grandma was the Rock Star Great Granny down on the floor playing with the little ones.

Ireland enjoying Grandpa time. :-)
Great Grandma Waite bonding with her Brayden boy... she had to admit he was a familiar looking young man.

Great Grandma Holcomb... the most stylish Granny I know... with her bundle of grandbabies.
We also love our Grandma Pat! She has made us so many beautiful quilts that the babies use daily.
Ireland smiling with her Great Grandpa Weeden... she was quite the charmer and the flirt.

Another Special visit from Great Grandma Holcomb. Grandma asked me to pull her babies right over next to her so she could talk to each and every one of them. They wanted to talk talk talk right back to her.
Grandma and Aunt Holly with the babies. Ireland bonded with her Great Aunt Holly... she loves the women in her life.

Easter Sunday with the cousins and tons of play time Photos

The triplets had their first Easter Sunday. It was a very special day... they had so much fun playing with their cousins, Ryder and Graham. Ryder was so cute with all the babies!

The triplets are almost 5 months now! They're sitting up in those bumbo seat thingies and they're eating real food now!!!!! This is happening way too fast for me! I don't want them to start moving around and talking back. Team Waite is turning a huge corner... Chris and I are finally starting to kind of sort of have a life... Sort of. And someone better knock on wood for me. They're all in bed now by 7:30pm and are sleeping through the night. Wooooooo hoooooooo! Shane is still my early riser and sometimes likes to wake us around 4am or 5am.

Here are my Babies... Brayden with his hand in his mouth, Ireland, and Shane
